Navigation - Compass
BLOG NAVIGATION FOR INEXPERIENCED INTERNET USERS…

I know that the majority of you wonderful #IndyRef & #IndyRef2 folk will be pretty tech-savvy and have no need whatsoever for the kind of basic menu-navigation information that follows – so you may want to just skip this post entirely. You’d probably be surprised though at just how many folk can be really helped by such basic information. Running a campaigning Twitter account with 12.2k on the follower clock has taught me to assume as little as possible about any individuals level of Internet knowledge. So, for those of you who may have need of it…

Top Navigation Strip 1

In A Nutshell

As you will have seen on your way to this post, via the Top Navigation Strip along the top of all our blog pages (image above), all Top Navigation Strip Headings have drop down Menus which pop-up when you hover your mouse pointer over them (image below). Later, as this blog develops, some of those pop-up Menu Items will have pop-up Sub-Menus of their own!

What I would like to point out here, if you’ll pardon the paradox (lol), is that the Main Menu Headings themselves (in blue then yellow when you hover your mouse pointer over them (image above) are ALSO themselves click-able! Easy to miss that. In fact they link to the main introductory post for each Top Navigation Strip title. So, please, don’t accidentally by-pass them by immediately dropping down in among the Menu Items available (image below) within any Main Menu Heading on our Top Navigation Strip ๐Ÿ˜‰

Finally…

If you are an inexperienced Internet user then a big *WELL DONE* on taking the plunge! It might seem a bit ‘cold’ and strange at first but you’ll soon get used to it ๐Ÿ™‚

If you encounter any kind of navigation problem here in our blog, or any other kind of blog related problem for that matter, then please do not hesitate to let me know about it. I promise I’ll do my best to address the matter asap! In the meantime…

Onwards and upwards!

Saor Alba,
